UPDATE: We rented the house almost immediately, so it's no longer available. Thanks for all the interest.

I see both radiators and forced air - which one is operational?

Also, I see there was at least one fireplace in the front room (under the surfboard)-- and chimney in MBR upstairs -- not sure about the DR -- did you remove these? How much insulation under the main floor, in the attic, and between adjoining houses? Do you have painted wallboard over plaster? Thanks !

Thanks for your interest bogfrog. Those radiators are defunct -- the house has a relatively new (I think maybe early 2005?) central HVAC system that works very well.

We didn't do the brickwork or anything relating to the old chimneys ourselves; that was done by the previous owner, but he seems to have done a solid job. Unfortunately I don't think I can answer your questions about insulation without making something up, other than to say that we've always found it comfortable in all seasons and have never had issues with outrageous heating or AC bills.

As for the painted wallboard, there are parts of the house that have plywood walls, and others that are more recently updated with drywall, if that answers your question. I believe we have removed the last of the straight-up plaster walls though (which we only found in the upstairs bathroom, which is now completely new with drywall and tile).
