I wanted to let you know about some upcoming events for Washington Yu Ying, PCS

January 26, 10:30am – Info Session at the Mount Pleasant Library, 1600 Lamont Street, NW, Basement Meeting Room

February 9, 3pm – Info Session at the Church of Our Saviour, 1616 Irving St, NE.

February 23, 11am – Lantern Festival for Prospective Students, Turkey Thicket Recreation Center.

At the information sessions we will provide an overview of the curriculum – Chinese Immersion & the International Baccalaureate Organization’s Primary Years Programme – and other aspects of the school. We will also answer questions & accept applications.

The Lantern Festival event will be a fun cultural event. Parents will be able to learn more about the school while kids have fun & even learn some Chinese!

In case you are not already familiar with the school, Washington Yu Ying, PCS is a Chinese Immersion, IBO Applicant Public Charter School that will open in September 2008. We are currently accepting applications for our opening classes – PreK 4, K and 1st Grade. We will grow to 8th Grade by 2015. We are a DC Public Charter School – free and open to residents of the district.
