Major Retail Coming to Columbia Heights

DC USA

Columbia Heights is poised to become the shopping destination for the entire Washington, DC area.  Hundreds of thousands of square feet of retail space are in the works including DC USA, a 500,000 sq. ft. retail complex that will include major retailers such as Target, Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, and possibly Whole Foods Market!  More exciting retailers are planning to open in the newly renovated Tivoli Square and other developments across Columbia Heights.  Read more in the Retail News section.

Dance Institute of WashingtonThe Dance Institute of Washington's new home will be revealed today in a ribbon cutting ceremony.  Guests will include Mayor Anthony A. Williams, District Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, and Democratic mayoral nominee Adrian Fenty.  The new facility is located on 3400 14th St NW (between Newton and Meridian).

This location features 12,000 square feet of studio space for arts education and dance training.  Another 5,000 square feet will be dedicated to a child care center.

The Dance Institute of Washington will be hosting various events over four days starting November 2nd to celebrate the grand opening of its new facility.  Events will include dance performances at the nearby GALA Hispanic Theater and a public open house.  For a complete list of events and for more information about the new dance facility please visit:
