Boxing MatchA festival was held over the weekend to commemorate the death of 13-year-old boxer Terry Cutchins who was shot back in June of this year.  The highlight of this event was a youth boxing match on 14th and Girard Streets NW.  Keely Thompson, owner of a youth boxing center, organized this event.

It's funny that there are no comments on a positive event in the neighborhood. I guess if the boxing match was somehow tied to organic food, or trendy furniture there would be more interest in this post.

If you consider watching urban youth throw fists at each other positive... It's an interesting way to commemorate the death of a juvenile.
