Washington, DC - Councilmembers Jim Graham (D-Ward One) and Adrian Fenty (D-Ward Four) today introduced a resolution opposing development plans at the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH).
The Council resolution raises air and noise pollution, traffic, and the loss of green space as concerns with the draft master plan for AFRH. The plan calls for development on approximately 130 of the AFRH's 272 acres and is under consideration by the National Capital Planning Commission and the D.C. Historic Preservation Review Board. The Sense of the Council resolution is available for viewing online.
