Councilmember GrahamCouncilmember Jim Graham breezed through the Democratic primaries with a landslide victory over challenger Chad Williams for the Ward 1 Council seat.  With 93 percent of the precincts reporting, Councilmember Graham captured 87 percent of the votes with Chad Williams claiming the remaining 13 percent (as of late Tuesday evening).

In other DC Primary news, Ward 4 Councilmember Adrian Fenty wins the Democratic bid for the mayoral seat.  Ward 7 Councilmember Vincent Gray captures the Democratic bid for the DC Council Chairman seat.

Hey, 
Is anyone paying any mind to the article in yesterday's Post about rising crime in Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan, and U Street? Does the Councilman have anything to say about it? 
 
Having just moved here from LA, the piece was quite a wakeup call.
