Major Retail Coming to Columbia Heights

Columbia Heights is poised to become the shopping destination for the entire Washington, DC area. Hundreds of thousands of square feet of retail space are in the works including DC USA, a 500,000 sq. ft. retail complex that will include major retailers such as Target, Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, and possibly Whole Foods Market! More exciting retailers are planning to open in the newly renovated Tivoli Square and other developments across Columbia Heights. Read more in the Retail News section.

First off, hail to the Redskins! Who would have thought earlier in this season that they would make it this far? Good luck in Seattle!

Development Photos Added

It has been exactly a week since our initial launch of Columbia Heights News through various community forums and listservs! Thank you very much for all of your support! We still need your feedback and contributions so please Contact Us!

We have posted photographs for some of the retail development projects that we have listed in the Retail News section. We want to provide readers a better sense of the progress for some of these developments. So far, we have added photos for:

Some Housekeeping...

We have added a "Local Business" section to our Community section. We have added categories for grocery/pharmacy, dining, and others. If you own a local business in Columbia Heights and would like to have it listed here, please contact us. The business listings in the Community section will only include the business name, address, and phone number. Some of the more popular establishments will be highlighted in the Entertainment section.

Parks and Recreation have been moved from the Community section to the Entertainment section. In the future, we will be adding listings for local tennis courts, basketball courts, gyms, etc.
