More UpdatesIt has only been five days since our New Years 2006 launch of Columbia Heights News but it already feels like it's been such a journey! We are very pleased with the amount of feedback we have gotten already and hope that you will continue to support this website with your comments and suggestions. The launch of Columbia Heights News continues to cause quite a stir on the Yahoo! Columbia Heights Listserv. We just added a Grocery and Convenience Stores page to our Community section. Columbia Heights has a fine Giant Food store that opened last summer in the newly renovated Tivoli Square building. We also have a CVS/Pharmacy store directly across from the Columbia Heights Metro Station. Most of the Columbia Heights residents are well aware of their existence and frequent both stores. But visitors and those interested in moving to Columbia Heights will need to know that such stores are available to them. We have also added El Rinconcito II Café, a highly regarded Salvadoran and Mexican restaurant and bar (located across from Tivoli Square), to our Dining section. Please provide your own rating and/or write some comments on this local restaurant. The Lamont Street Lofts condominium project has been added to our Residential News section. Joining One Of The New Residential Developments? Are you planning on purchasing or are already under contract to purchase a condominium that is currently under development in Columbia Heights? Are you considering a rental unit in an apartment building that is currently under development? If so, we thought our Forum could be a perfect place for you to meet and greet your future neighbors! We have added separate sections for each of the new condominium and apartment projects in Columbia Heights. You can now go to the appropriate section on the forum and ask questions, share information, and discuss your home searching experiences. Currently, we have following new residential development sections on our Forum page: If you have never heard of some of these new residential developments you can read all about them in our Residential News section.
