I think Ellwood Thompson's would be a great addition to DCUSA and to the Columbia Heights neighborhood. We need an alternative to the Giant and having a quality alternative like Ellwood Thompson's would serve this community well.
Please come!

I second the opinions already expressed whole heartedly and I am in particular excited about the environmental conciousness of the owner(s)!
The community wants you!

I cannot adequately express my enthusiasm for an Ellwood Thompson's in Columbia Heights. The Tivoli Square Giant and the P street Whole Foods are both overcrowded. For example, on a recent late Saturday morning, it me an hour and a half to get through the Whole Foods. The Giant is also extremely crowded and does not offer the service or high-quality produce, meats and cheese that Whole Foods offers.

I am also extremely interested in buying locally-produced food. Neighborhood farmers markets are a great supplement to my normal grocery shopping, but I need a good grocery store where I can regularly shop. I love the idea that my local grocery store will endeavor to carry locally-grown produce.

I am excited by Ellwood Thomspon's businss model and interest in Columbia Heights. The community, and Washington DC as a whole, needs more grocery stores. I have no doubt that a Columbia Heights store will have many eager and grateful customers.

Ellwood Thompson's - Come to Columbia H

I was a shopper at Ellwood Thompson's when I lived in the Fan district in Richmond for 4 years, and now as a resident of Columbia Heights I would be so pleased to see this quality grocer move in.

It is true that there is overcrowding at the Giant as well as the Whole Foods on P Street. WE NEED YOU ELLWOODS! There are plenty of folks like us in Columbia Heights who are passionate about issues related to sustainability, quality, organics, humane practices, etc etc...you wouldn't be lacking support. Please come to Columbia Heights!

What an opportunity for CH to have a locally-owned, environmentally friendly natural foods store - a great alternative to Giant. I think Ellwood Thompson's will be supported by other DC residents traveling on the green/yellow line, not just CH residents.
