Paul Ruppert, owner of the Warehouse Theater on 7th St NW, will be relocating part of his operations to Columbia Height's 11th Street Corridor (3400 11th St NW) in the next year. The bar, cafe, and music venue portions will be moving to this location. Ruppert will be leasing this property from 3DG Real Estate.
According to the Washington Business Journal,
In June, Ruppert said he could no longer afford to keep the bar, cafe and music venue open in the building his family has owned for 130 years in three townhouses on 7th Street NW. He also said he would have to reassess the viability of the theater in October.
As far as the type of food, WBJ reports the following,
He's also interviewing chefs for the restaurant, which will determine what kind of food the restaurant will serve, although Ruppert said he anticipates something "casual and funky."
