Taqueria Distrito Federal is an absolute gem of a neighborhood restaurant -- great food at a great value. For $6 try any number of their burritos, which are hulking creations more than enough for a solid meal. I'm still working my way through the menu, with Wednesday nights currently designated as "Burrito Night" until further notice, but the beef barbacoa is the highlight so far -- tender sliced beef in a great sauce. Do yourself and the neighborhood (this is the kind of local store we should want more of, not a new Quizno's or Chipotle) a favor and give the Taqueria a try. Sit at one of the tables there or get a quick carry-out order -- it's great either way.

Also try the very authentic pozole soup, a Sunday tradition. Pozole is a delicious pork and corn soup perfect for the winter weather.

Went there over the weekend - GREAT food. Very limited menu, just a handful of items. I had the beef burrito and it was fantastic. Nothing over $6 or so on the menu.

Just went for the first time and had the best burrito I've ever had. Amazing. They deliver now too. And the owner is really nice.

Agree with all other comments about great food for great value and the owner being nice. I had a great taco -- a speciality meat of some sort that the owner recommended, can't recall the name, but it was outstanding.

Great food, great price. I especially liked their posted annoucement about an upcoming Crime and Safety Meeting with MPD & CM Graham. It showed good Community involvement.
