Written by Mr. D on 2006-09-15 11:15:37Signs all over the restaurant say they're open for lunch on weekdays and Brunch on weekends starting September 12. Looks like you were just early.

on 2006-10-02 07:56:17We were there for a quick brunch Sunday. Very good! Rumbero's special omelet (plantains, egg, cheeze, peppers, black beans) was delicious. My cuban friend had a cuban sandwich which, he said, was the best he'd ever had outside of Miami. Nice, low-key atmosphere on a Sunday just after noon.
Written by e on 2006-10-03 16:21:38I really do want to like this place, but the food is not very good, and is to expensive. I've found almost everything I've eaten I(and I'v tried the place three times now) to be overcooked and underspiced. I'd much rather spend my money at El Rinconcito II. The drinks are good though ( at $8 a pop they had better be).
GREAT PLACE!!! Written by Drewpa on 2006-10-27 15:52:45Had dinner there last Saturday night. I was a little skeptical when we first sat as it seemed a little empty for a Saturday night. The food was AMAZING, the service impeccable, and the mojitos were some of the best I've had. Great space and atmosphere. As a CH local, I certainly hope this restaurant makes it.
Pretty Good Written by
on 2006-11-17 12:25:58Some friends and I stopped in last week for the first time. I love the space, it's a really handsome restaurant and it feels authentic, like you could be in Argentina. The Tapas was pretty good, slightly bland and undersalted but I can live with that, we had salt shakers. Service was little amatuerish but our server was sweet- we will definitely be back.

Disappointing Written by Christina on 2007-03-13 09:43:55As a Columbia Heights resident, I was excited to try Rumberos. It was a horrible experience. Our waiter was RUDE, the drinks were weak, the menu was overpriced, and the service was slow. I could not be paid to go back there.
not so much Written by
on 2007-07-01 22:35:12this is where you would bring your parents - if they were visting from salt lake city - and they didn't belive in evolution - and you hate them.
ps rumberos, a mojito should not have more vegetation in it than alcohol - seriously, it's like you order a mojito and you get a cup full of lettuce and grass with a little liquid in it!
