El Rinconcito II Café is a highly regarded restaurant and bar in the Columbia Heights community.  They serve excellent Salvadoran and Mexican cuisine.  DCist had some good words to say about this restaurant.

Great and Cheap! Written by on 2006-07-28 13:33:41 I stopped in a couple weeks ago for the mixed ceviche and calamari. Both were very good, and also reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Really cute spot.

The margaritas are ok, but they are not worth the price in my opinion.    Overall, I found the restaurant to be solid and well worth the trip (I'm going back again tonight). Don't expect a culinary experience of a lifetime, but it is a good, solid meal and a great restaurant to have in the neighborhood.

My roomates and I like the reasonably priced menu, wide selection of dishes, and tasty food. Try the fajitas or the agua de horchata or tamarindo. They are delicious.

It was certainly hidden, but well worth the trip. The food was so authentic and very well priced,. and absolutely delicious! I am sure to go back many more times, and bring more friends along!
