Press Release From Columbia Heights Day Initiative

Be a part of local history! 

Columbia Heights DayThe First Annual Columbia Heights Day Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 6th from 11 AM to 6 PM.  It will begin with an informal dog parade and community bike ride from Sticky Fingers Bakery, north on 14th Street, east on Monroe Street, and south on 11th Street to Harriet Tubman Elementary School.  Activities include, live music, dance performances, children's and senior's areas, and health and wellness expos.

We have created this event to celebrate Columbia Heights values of community, diversity and service.  We need everyone in the neighborhood to make this festival as unique as our community.  Please visit Columbia Heights Day for more information. 

All local business owners and managers are invited to join CHDI at Temperance Hall on Wednesday, September 19th at 7:00 PM.  Come network with other area business representatives and learn more about how you can participate in Columbia Heights Day.  Temperance Hall is located at 3634 Georgia Ave NW.  Please RSVP to .  Business sponsor packets may be found there or you may email Doron Petersan at
