Location
Columbia Heights is located in the heart of Washington, D.C. It is within two miles of the National Mall (Washington Monument, Smithsonian Museums) and within a mile of other major neighborhoods in DC including Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan, Logan Circle, and the U Street Corridor. Columbia Heights includes a one half mile by one mile area that is bounded by 16th Street to the West, Sherman Avenue to the East, Spring Road to the North, and Florida Avenue to the South.
Columbia Heights Metro Station
Columbia Heights is easy to get to with it's very own Metro Station on the Green Line (intersection of 14th St NW and Irving St NW). This station was built in 1999. There are two entrances to the Metro station, one on either side of 14th St NW. The Columbia Heights metro station is only four short stops away from the Gallery Place - Chinatown station, a major transfer station to other lines in the system.
